Ifton & St Georges Statement

Ifton on Wednesday 14th June, and St Georges on Friday 16th June, both played an unregistered player. This means they have broken Match rule 4 which states:

“No player shall be eligible to play in any league match or competition organised by the Premier League unless he has been officially registered with the Fixtures Secretary.”

As a result, the Management Committee has decided to enforce the following penalty from rule 4.

“In the event of a club playing an unregistered player a fine of £25 will be payable to the league by the offending club. In addition the game in which the unregistered player took part shall be awarded to the opposing team 21-0 and two points deducted from the offending club.”

The two match results remain the same as the unregistered player lost their game. But Ifton and St Georges are deducted two points and Pete Grimston and Kieran Buckley both receive 21-11 wins in their aggregates as part of their walkovers.
