Castlefields were tonight confirmed as 2017 Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League Champions after getting 6 at Chester Road. They finished 5 clear of Sir John Bayley, with Newport in 3rd, and St Georges pipping Bowring to 4th. Bylet won the most improved team prize after finishing 28 points better than last season, with Statto21 winning the White Apple Photography Predictions League and norfolknchance winning the Mousepoint Design Fantasy Bowls League.
