Bylet v Castlefields Preview

Bylet take on Castlefields in the last of the rearranged games from the June rains. It is a big game for both teams, with Castlefields under the more pressure as they look to capture the leaders Sir John Bayley. They are now 21 points behind and with the Bayley also visiting the Bylet on Friday, know results on the island could go a long way to determining which of the two teams win the league, if either do. For Bylet, it is a big win as described by captain Scott Harries. “We have a huge week with the reigning Champions and the league leaders coming to town before our blockbusting County Cup Semi Final Saturday, so we are fired up and looking forward to every game. First though it’s full focus on a top Castlefields side which will be out for revenge I’m sure after we narrowly knocked them out of the County Cup Quarter Final not so long back. However we’d like a little bit of revenge ourselves because Castlefields were the last team to beat us at home some 14 months and 15 home games ago by 1 chalk. We know we will have to be at our best once again but I have every confidence my lads can get over the line and keep our home record going, I will take any win that’s for sure. We are building a solid team now and even though our green hasn’t been great this season we are still putting in solid results on there. With the weather being nice and it being a rearranged game it’d be nice to get a few neutrals to come over and watch a top Premier clash also.”
