October Meeting Summary

Please see below a summary of what happened in the October meeting:

  • A loss of over £1000 this year for the league because of lack of sales on the Anniversary Book, as well as increased costs on Programmes and Raffle Prizes, and buying Inter League shirts.
  • A proposal to be sent to the SCGBA AGM regarding player eligibility in the County & Shropshire Cups, the County Merit being on a rotational basis and dress code not been applied in County Competition qualifiers.
  • Details of the new Inter League competition to be sent to clubs to be discussed by players and talked about again at the March Meeting.
  • The league to fall in with BCGBA rules, black tailored shorts can be worn for any league match or competition.
  • Rules to be proposed with regards to team pulling out before or after the March Meeting, with a fine for those who do afterwards.
  • A proposal that players can be transfer if they have not played more than 4 games for a premier league club and before 31st May.
  • The League Merit to be kept with qualifiers, date to be determined after the AGM concludes.
  • Dates and venues for the Doubles have been agreed, once clubs have confirmed it will be released on here.
  • The league to start on Friday 3rd April, with a Wednesday game on 8th April, and finishing on Friday 18th September.
  • 2020 Presentation Evening at Burway on Friday 9th October with £100 on food.
