Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
The start of the 2017 season took place on 5th April, the first time the season had ever opened on a Wednesday. It was all home win son the night, with Hanmer leading the way with a 12-2 victory over Bylet, meaning the league newcomers topped the table. Hanwood and Ifton had impressive 11-3 wins over St Georges and Newport, while Bowring and Meole Brace beat the last season’s top two 9-5, Sir John Bayley and Castlefields respectively. Burway defeated Wrockwardine Wood 10-4, while the closest game was at Wem USC, where the games were shared against Chester Road but the home side won the aggregate by 10.
