Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
The start of the 2006 season happened on this day and it saw White Horse have its first game in the league. Unfortunately they lost 9-5 at home to Sir John Bayley, and would have to wait till June till their first win. The two most successful teams in the league clashed on the opening night as St Georges beat Castlefields 11-3 on their way to their fourth title. Meole Brace were the big winners on the night, beating Childs Ercall 12-2, while Newport beat Wrockwardine Wood 9-5 and Wem USC defeated Ifton 8-6.
