Meole Open Pictures & Thanks

Well done to Andy Hughes for winning the 2023 Coors Meole Open and earning the first ticket to the BCGBA Champion of Champions on Saturday 30th September. He saw off Reece Farr 14 in the final winning it for the second time in the fourth final he has reached. After defeating favourite Callum Wraight first game 9, he beat Geraint Booth 16, Ian Howell 18 and then Lee Brown 19, pulling out some great bowls when needed. He thanked the organisers and Meole Brace and said he was looking forward to being in the Champion of Champions and will do the competition proud.

Well done to Akeel Duncan and Jess Lacey for sharing the Best Junior reaching for reaching the 2nd qualifying round.

Well done to Cliff Massey and Dave Jackson for sharing the Best Senior prize after reaching the 1st round today.

Thank you to everyone who entered and for the members of Meole Brace for doing an excellent job.

Thank you to Mike Beckett for putting in the live scores and helping me at nearly all of the sessions over the last couple of weeks.
