Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
The second weekend of the Coors Meole Open sees another 128 players looking to claim the 16 qualifying spaces left.
Saturday morning sees former winner Adie Rowe take part, along with our last two League Averages winners Mike Beer and Alex Jones, and former winner Rich Goddard. New Bayley recruits Dan Taylor and last year’s runner up Reece Farr takes part along with former County Merit winners Kiah Roberts and Nick Wyer. Midland Masters winner Gary Owen travels there with last year’s Semi Finalist Lee Brown. Dave Jackson and Dave McDermott travel down to play, while Dorrington Open winner Sam Millward is also there with the two Ferrises Andy and Danny.
The afternoon has former winner Wayne Rogers playing along with another new Bayley recruit Scott Harries. Ash Wellings and Dan Williams both qualified last year, while St Georges pair Pete Grimston and Clay Flattley and Ifton’s Owen Jackson take part. Jason Galvin, Paul Beechey, Neil Harrell and Simon Homer are travelling over from the Midlands as well as Chris Baker.
Sunday morning sees former winner Ryan Prosser play with his dad Russ. Windmill trio Glynn Storer, Lee Cavill and Dave Wright travel over as well as Carl Fielding. Our Merit winner Nicky Jones is there, with another winner Josh Bradburn taking part. The experienced Barry Booth comes from the Potteries with Josh Towey and Midland Masters winner Alex Hassall.
The final session has Greg Smith play, looking for his first win in this competition, while last year’s winner Andy Hughes starts his defence, his brother Nick takes part too. Pete Farmer looks for his first success in this competition. Potteries have a contingent there with former West Brom Open winner Kerry Morris leading them, and ex homester Gary Neal is there.
