Donnington Wood 2 Man Team Finals Preview

There is a quality line up for the first ever Donnington Wood 2 Man Team Finals tomorrow night at 6 p.m.

There are 5 pairs from Shropshire, with 2 from Staffordshire and 1 from Warwick & Worcester. The Warwick & Worcestershire pairing of Greg Smith and Ryan Prosser will start as favourites given their pedigree in competitions, but face a tough opener against the Staffordshire pairing of Dave Easy & Paul Busby. Also in the top half sees an all Sir John Bayley tie with Dan Taylor & Scott Harries playing Ayden Smith & Reece Farr, all but Scott have played at Donnington Wood before. The bottom half sees the other Staffordshire pairing of Danny Statham & Stu Gittings play Joe Killen & Chris Stretch, who defeated Gareth Herbert & Jon Palmer to qualifier in a thrilling match. The Horsehay pairing of Craig Baugh & Gareth Jones take on Jesse James & Kiah Roberts at the bottom of the draw.

There is no dress code.

Donnington Wood are kindly providing a barbecue for the evening.

Practice is at 5.30 p.m. and the action starts at 6 p.m.

All games are 21up and the winning team is the pair with the highest aggregate score. If there is a tie, then a 3 end shoot out between a single player from each team will take place, with the organiser placing the first jack and a toss determining who will go first. If there is still a tie then the player who has scored in the most ends will go through.

I will be going live for the final on here as well as scores.
