Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
The Sir John Bayley pairing of Scott Harries & Dan Taylor won the first Donnington Wood 2 Man Team Final after beating St Georges’ Joe Killen & Adderley’s Chris Stretch in the final. They were both ahead in their games, with Dan playing Chris and Scott taking on Joe. Dan was 16-8 up and Scott 16-9 and whatever Chris and Joe did they couldn’t get back at them, with Dan winning 11 and Scott 20-12 up. In the Semi Finals Scott & Dan beat Dave East & Paul Busby respectively. Scott beat Dave 11 from just 11-9 up, this was after Paul had defeated Dan 14 from 14 across. In the other Semi Final Joe & Chris got past Jesse James & Kiah Roberts after Joe beat Jesse 9 from 6-3 down despite Kiah defeating Chris 19.
The Quarter Finals saw Scott & Dan beat team mates Ayden Smith and Reece Farr. Dan defeated Reece 11 after only being 10-8 up, but Scott had to come back from 16-6 down and was only 19-17 behind when Dan won. Dave & Paul shocked the favourites Greg Smith & Ryan Prosser. Paul beat Ryan 13 after going 18-7 up, with Dave and Greg then 17 across. Joe & Chris got past Stu Gittings & Danny Statham after Joe ran out from 5-2 up in 2s, Danny was 12-8 up on Chris at the time. The last Quarter saw Jesse & Kiah beat Craig Baugh & Gareth Jones. Jesse beat Craig 6 after racing 11-1 up, while Kiah defeated Gareth 11 after only being 11-9 up.
