1999 Premier League Merit

The Premier League Merit which was held at Greenfields Bowling Club on Sunday, 13th September was won by Peter Farmer (Childs Ercall) for the second time, having won the inaugural event in 1994. In a closely fought final, he eventually overcome Martin Lloyd (Chester Road) 21-17. Peter was only behind once at 7-6, and led 14-9 and 17-11 before Martin rallied to 17-18, before Farmer regained the jack and with two more singles won the title and first prize of £120, with Lloyd receiving the runners up cheque of £60.

In the semi finals Farmer overcame Clay Flattley (Wem USC) 21 14 and Lloyd beat Paul Williams (Castlefields) 21-18.
