2025 Captain: Simon Lane
2025 Aim: Hanwood will be looking to build on last season. We have Phil Lyttle back in the fold and then experienced players like Dave Burton, Shaun Bould and Mark Parsons are keen and available for the majority of games this season. We will be hoping to create good team spirit, enjoy our matches and hopefully climb a couple of spots up the table by the end of the year. Good luck everyone for the season.

Comments: Hanwood achieved their aims of moving up two places to 5th and increasing their points total by 7. It was even better considering they won only one game in their first five, and then had a shock loss at home to Bylet. But they then sprung one of the surprise results of the season with a win at Wrockwardine Wood 11-5. They did get 3 at Highley but won three out of their next four at home. Apart from a 7-7 against Ifton their home form was good for the rest of the season excluding a record breaking 16-0 home loss against Castlefields, but this was offset with away wins at the Bylet and Hanmer 11-5. They also reached the finals of the Pool A losing out to Castlefields.
2026 Aims: Same again really, they will need a few quality signings to bridge the 36 point gap to 4th place. Improved performances against the top two will help, they only scored 8 points from four games against them.
