Pool A: 1st round (lost to Ifton by 40)
Leading Player: Owen Jackson – 20 wins
Comments: Ifton didn’t quite manage to replicate their 3rd place finish from last season, they finished 5 points worse off and a position down. The main difference was that they didn’t remain unbeaten at home, Sir John Bayley won 12-4 there in May, and with just 3 winners at the Bayley in the return leg they were their bogey team. They did start well until that home loss, winning at Meole Brace and winning their first three home games. After that home loss they did put together a 6 game winning streak at the turn of the season all in double figures. They didn’t produce that form again with just home wins to their name in the rest of their games, disappointing defeats at Highley and Wem USC meant they missed out on maintaining 3rd. However their main prize was winning the Barlows Fire & Security Alan Mayhew Trophy, defeating Castlefields by 3 in a thrilling final at Bowring.
2026 Aims: A couple of signings or players returning will help improve their squad. More consistency in their results will also help and winning at a couple of places they would be expected to win at usually.
