Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
Two teams have applied for the end of season playoffs, and they are no strangers to it! Both teams that were beaten by Hanwood last season are going to try again to claim a place in the 2017 Flowfit Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Donnington Wood have already won the Mid-Shropshire League, however are under the threat of a possible points deduction in the league, although most likely not enough to cost them the league as they won it by 32 points, that will be decided at the next meeting on Tuesday 4th October. Hanmer are currently 52 chalks ahead of Bridgwater A in the Market Drayton League and are favourite to clinch the title. If they are successful, Hanmer will play Donnington Wood in a pre-playoff on Meole Brace no.1 green (one nearest the road) at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday 2nd October. The winners will go forward to play Hadley USC on Friday 7th October at one of two venues to be announced later this week hopefully.
