Comments:
Bylet stayed up again finishing nine points clear of Hadley USC. After a good start though they might be disappointed they didn’t kick on, as they beat Hadley USC and Ifton 11-3 and then won at Wrockwardine Wood 9-5 to be in excellent form. But a 10-4 home defeat to Hanwood halted their momentum and they had to wait 9 games for their next win at home to Burway. This was backed up by a 10-4 win against Meole Brace but only 8 points from their next 4 games, all away, kept them in trouble. But home wins over Wem USC and Wrockwardine Wood meant they secured their place in the league and can look to push on next season.
In the cups they lost by 28 to Bowring in the Black Tech Alan Mayhew Trophy despite leading at the halfway stage and in the BowlsTrader Pool B they lost to Newport by 16.
