Comments:
Burway had another similar season to 2015, they suffered two one home defeat to Meole Brace at home but didn’t quite get as many 11-3 wins as they did last time at home. Their best result was 12-2 against a St Georges team who were flying high at the time, and 11-3 at home to Champions Newport, but apart from these two didn’t score over 8 winners at home. They did win two away, a narrow win at Hadley USC and getting their own back against Meole in a shock 9-5 win last game of the season. They were only 4 points off their best points total but did only finish 10th, their lowest ever finish, but it was another solid season for the Ludlow lads.
They didn’t quite match their cup exploits in 2015, losing by 5 to Meole Brace in the Quarter Finals of the Black Tech Ltd Alan Mayhew Trophy, and failing to reach the final of the BowlsTrader Pool B for the first time, losing to Ifton by 30 in the 1st round.
