Team 30: Sir John Bayley

Sir John Bayley have been an ever present in the Shropshire Premier League and finally won the league in 2016 finishing 5 points clear. Before this they have won the Alan Mayhew in 2002, Pool B in 2008 and Pool A in 2015. They started life in the league in the bottom half of the table though, finishing bottom in 1997 and 1999, the former with their lowest points total of 130 meaning they took part in the first Premier League Playoff against the Coddon, which they won comfortably. Since then they did move up to their notorious top green in 2002, and their home form improved including a 14-0 hammering of former champions Castlefields. They then finished around mid-table in that time, their highest finish in 2003 and 2007 being 5th place, as well as being the most improved team in 2007 with 52 more points. They then moved back to the bottom green and were still mid-table until they moved up to 3rd place in 2013 and 2014, scoring their highest number of points in the former with 219. They were also most improved team in 2012 with 18 extra points, despite them playing two less games that season.

Individually Alex Jones won the League Averages in his first season at the club in 2012, while Spencer Clarke won the Most Consecutive Wins in 2003.
