Shropshire Premier Bowling League Individual Merit Competition played on the green of Prees Bowling Club on Sunday 28th April 2013

An entry of 30, two more than last years entry, enjoyed a dry day to contest the 2013 Premier League Individual Merit on the big green at Prees Bowling Club, Near Whitchurch. Glyn Wellings from the current league leaders, Meole Brace followed in the footsteps of his brother, Darren, the winner 2010 to lift the “John Coxill” trophy when he defeated Jim Fletcher 21-14 in the final at Prees today.
Nine clubs were represented in total and the two semi finals produced two 21-20 scores. Jim Fletcher from league newcomers, Hadley USC was the narrow winner in the first semi final in his clash with St Clay Flattley and in the second, involving the two “Wellings” brothers from Meole Brace, Glyn overcome Darren.
