2017 Review:
Bylet had their best season points wise last one as the summer signings helped them stay away from trouble, also being the most improved team. They had two stunning away wins, at St Georges and Sir John Bayley, and coupled with decent away results this meant they scored decent points on their travels. Home form was alright, but did suffer four losses and a draw there, albeit the four losses being against the teams from the top 5. They had a fine win over St Georges in the Alan Mayhew too, but lost to Hanwood next round. They narrowly lost by 2 to Wem USC in the Pool B.
2018 Aims:
Bylet will be looking for more of the same again really as they try and build on their fine season last year. They have made more signings and as long as their Staffordshire contingent keep wanting to travel then they should continue to improve. They will want to improve their home form, and more practice for those newcomers should help get more home wins. Away form was good and they’d like to maintain that, and will know they can win anywhere if they play to all of their potential. They will fancy their chances of getting past Wrockwardine Wood in the Alan Mayhew Trophy with a number of ex players in their team.
