Audlem Special Events Team Alan Mayhew Trophy Final Review

Castlefields won the Audlem Special Events Team Alan Mayhew Trophy Final for a record 10th time with a comeback victory against Sir John Bayley to win by 10 overall. They were 7 up after four games off with Mike Beer best winner 12, but the Bayley had three winners in the middle to go 14 up, Scott Simpson winning 9 and Stu Rutter 10. However Josh Hale won 8 for the Fields and Adie Rowe, a late reserve for Callum Wraight who was unable to return from winning his competition at Woodplumpton (well done to Callum on his win), won 10 to earn himself the “Mark Burroughs” Player of the Match award and put Castlefields 10 up. Ash Wellings then won 20 in a cracking game with Chris Worthington, meaning Tom Roden had to run out from 10-9 up on Andrew Judson. Tom got to 15-9 up however Andrew got the one he needed and eventually got 20 to give Fields a win by 10.

Thank you to Alan Mayhew for his continued support for this competition, and to Audlem Special Events Team for sponsoring the competition. Thank you to Allscott Heath for hosting and providing an excellent buffet after the game. Pictures and reaction are to follow.
