2025 Aim: The aim has been the same for a number of years – to compete. It was a difficult pill to swallow losing the league last year after beating the points record! We go again in 2025 to replicate the last few years and enjoy the season along the way.

Comments: Sir John Bayley once again posted a record points total, but were beaten by Castlefields again. It was more than just one bad result losing at Hanmer 9-5 in August that cost them, especially as they did get the only win in the league at Ifton 12-4 in May. But they won 21 of their 23 games in double figures, including three whitewashes and a 14-2 victory at Horsehay, however they needed more big wins to catch the Fields. They lost out to Castlefields in the Alan Mayhew and Pool A too, but did beat them in the County Cup on way to winning the trophy.
2026 Aims: They were without three key players from last year, although all did play at least one game this season, but if any of those returned full time it would be a big boost to the squad as this may have been the difference this year even though they improved on 2024.
